Inspiration: Cara Elizabeth Vescio created an amazing book,
"The Adventures of the Dress", where she took the same wedding dress and had women put it on, with their own spin, while she photographed them.
The finished book is pretty freaking cool.

She then began planning a book release party where she asked local artists to check out her book, then create their own piece to be auctioned for charity.
ALL money generated from these limited edition prints until the book release party date (Nov 14, 2015) will be donated to Cara's charity, St. Jude.
The piece I created used real rose petals to create the background, then the dress was a separately created piece that was then sewn to the canvas. Finally, wire pieces were added to the sides so the purchaser could put their own photographs, making the piece a three dimensional photo frame (see photos). I LOVE this piece and the use of organic materials for the base.
